1. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Archura Digital Solutions AB is the controller for the processing described as ours in this policy. It covers the PhiGrid: Sudoku app for iPhone and Android, phigrid.games and phigridgames.com, and related support communications. It does not cover an advertiser's website or service that you choose to visit.
You can use the game without creating a PhiGrid account. We do not operate an account-based cloud service for game progress.
2. GAME DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Saved games, notes, completion history, scores, unlocked content, virtual coins and preferences are stored locally using SQLite on the mobile app. They are not uploaded to a PhiGrid progress server. The browser development version uses IndexedDB for the same purpose.
Your operating system may include app data in a device backup or transfer according to your platform settings. This is a platform feature, not PhiGrid cloud sync. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data or changing device without a compatible backup may permanently remove progress, and we cannot retrieve data that exists only on your device.
3. ADVERTISING AND CONSENT
The app uses Google AdMob to provide banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address and approximate location derived from it, device or advertising identifiers, app launches, taps, ad impressions and video views, and diagnostic or performance information. These data may be used for ad delivery, measurement, service operation and fraud prevention.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents privacy choices before ads are requested. You can reopen available advertising privacy choices from Settings. Consent to personalised advertising is separate from these Terms and may be refused or withdrawn without disabling ordinary offline play. An optional ad reward requires an eligible ad to be available and completed.
The consent screen identifies the advertising technology partners selected in AdMob and links to their information. Their roles and retention periods are governed by their own notices. We do not use a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the current public app.
4. WEBSITE AND SUPPORT DATA
Our websites do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics. They store only your light, dark or system theme choice in your browser's local storage. Our STRATO-hosted server processes standard access and security logs, which may include IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, referrer and browser or user-agent information.
If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message, attachments and technical information you choose to include. The support link opens your email app and does not automatically attach your saved games. Please do not send passwords, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information.
Support email is currently hosted by Purelymail, operated by Add Rabbit LLC. Purelymail states that its infrastructure is hosted in AWS US-East-1 in the United States. This is separate from the website hosting in Germany.
5. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES
Where the GDPR applies, we process data as necessary to provide the requested app and support under our agreement with you; on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service, answering general feedback, preventing abuse and handling legal claims; with consent for advertising storage, identifiers or personalisation where consent is required; and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not use game scores for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Accepting this policy is not blanket consent to data processing.
6. RECIPIENTS AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Data may be processed by STRATO GmbH for website hosting, Google and the advertising partners shown in the consent interface for advertising, Purelymail/Add Rabbit LLC for support email, and authorised people who need it to answer support requests. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
STRATO states that its server data are stored in the EU. Other providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers must rely on a valid GDPR Chapter V mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.
7. RETENTION
Local game data remains on your device until you remove it or it is removed through an operating-system backup lifecycle. Website access and security logs are normally retained for no more than 30 days, unless a security incident or legal duty requires longer retention.
Ordinary support correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction, then deleted or anonymised. Relevant material may be kept longer where necessary for a legal obligation or claim. Purelymail states that deleted email may remain in backups for up to 30 additional days. Advertising providers apply the periods in their own notices.
8. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Rights may have legal conditions and exceptions. Email us to exercise a right; we may request proportionate information to verify and locate the relevant data. We normally respond within one month under the GDPR.
We cannot identify or access local-only game records from your email address. You may complain to Sweden's Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) or another competent authority in your place of residence.
9. CHILDREN
PhiGrid: Sudoku is a general-audience puzzle game and is not specifically directed at children. A store content rating does not determine the legal age for data-processing consent. Where parental or guardian consent is required, consent-based processing must not occur without it. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data without required permission.
10. SECURITY, CHANGES AND CONTACT
We use measures appropriate to the data and risks, but no app, server or email system can guarantee absolute security. Protect access to your device and email account.
We may update this policy when the app, providers or legal requirements change. We will identify material changes and request a new choice where required. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to hello@phigrid.games.
